Group Calls On Aspirants For EDHA To Undergo A Drug Test

A group under the platform of THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EGOR MOVEMENT have called on all aspirants for Edo State House of Assembly in Egor a Local Government in Edo State, to a drug test that would be taken publicly and results displayed to the public.

The group made this call in a communique made available to ISSUE REPORTERS in response to a rumour that some of the aspirants were acting on hard drugs. The group said the rumour fingered The Frontline Aspirant for House of Assembly in the Local Government Mr Ekundayo Ukponmwan, whom the group vehemently defended and invited the accusers and other Aspirants to a public drug test.

Here is a full text of the Communique;

WE THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EGOR HIGHLY CONDEMN CHEAP FALSEHOOD LEVELED AGAINST OUR SON, EKUNDAYO COLLINS UKPONMWAN

Falsehoods no doubt are often used by those who knew they had failed woefully.

Our attention has been drawn towards a rumour going around the social space that some political actors in Egor have said Mr Ekundayo Collins Ukponmwan uses hard drugs and also cheaply and unsurprisingly said that they will also notify relevant authorities to investigate his sources of wealth.

This is actually laughable especially when some of those involved are persons who came to Ekundayo Ukponmwan when they had needs and their needs were met.

Let it be crystal clear that our son Mr Ekundayo Ukponmwan is a naturally gifted young man, married with three kids and he is into Security Solutions, Real estate and Hospitality business both in the United States of America and Benin City Nigeria.

In this light, He has done well for himself as an energetic and forward-thinking young man and also a lot has been done for people in Egor and outside Egor in fact Ukponmwan is a man who has always been generous to everyone including the Aged.

Addressing the issue of hard drugs, Mr Ekundayo Ukponmwan doesn’t even smoke cigarettes, not to talk of taking hard drugs.

However, since the propagandist are trying to tarnish his image by all means;

we are challenging all aspirants in Egor Contesting for Edo State House of Assembly under the PDP to drug test which shall be conducted live and the results will be displayed for everyone to see so that Egor People will know who the real drug addicts are.

Additionally, in a display of his humanitarian nature, love and compassion, he birthed the Senior Citizens Welfare Foundation which nothing less than 1000 persons have benefited from including those propagating this cheap propaganda.

We the people of Egor are with him no matter the cheap lies emanating from people who do not want the development of Egor.

We will always resist any attempt to tarnish the image of our dear son.

We reiterate again that these accusations against a man blessed by God himself which are untrue, unverifiable and baseless is a display of shame and ignominy.

Ekundayo collins Ukponmwan is coming to give dividends of democracy to Egor People.
