How APC Denied Tinubu Campaign Funds – Lukman

Contrary to expectations, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not receive any financial support from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for his presidential campaigns across Nigeria.

Dr Salihu Lukman, the APC’s national vice chairman North West, revealed this information, describing it as unusual and a departure from past practices.

Lukman also alleged that other party candidates who contested various elective positions were also denied financial support by the party’s national working committee (NWC) led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

He contrasted this with the 2019 elections when the party’s candidates received financial support from the national secretariat under the leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Lukman called for transparency and accountability in the party’s finances, highlighting the absence of financial reports, the lack of a national budget, and the need for key party organs to be constituted.

He reiterated his call for the removal of Sen Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as the national chairman and secretary of the party to reposition the APC.
