How Sam Larry Was Arrested

Late on Thursday night, the Lagos State Police Command officially confirmed the apprehension of the controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, widely known as Sam Larry.

This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic passing of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

According to an unnamed police source, who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to comment on the matter, Sam Larry was taken into custody at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Thursday evening upon his arrival from Kenya. He was promptly transported to the state police headquarters for further questioning.

Sam Larry’s name had become prominent in the calls for justice following Mohbad’s untimely demise. His arrest coincided with an announcement by Naira Marley, Mohbad’s former music label boss, expressing his intent to return to Nigeria contingent on guaranteed safety.

Earlier, both Sam Larry and Naira Marley were invited by the police for questioning regarding Mohbad’s passing. Last week, the police confirmed the completion of the autopsy conducted on Mohbad, with results pending.

This recent development followed the joint effort of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials in the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains. Additionally, the nurse who administered the injection to the deceased singer prior to his passing on September 12 was also taken into custody by the police.
