I Can’t Be Caged – Flavour Opens Up On Why He Avoids One-Woman Commitment
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian singer Flavour has spoken about why he finds it difficult to remain committed to a single woman, describing himself as someone who embraces a free-spirited and exploratory lifestyle.
The music star made the comments in a video shared on Instagram, where he explained that his outlook on life differs from men who prefer calm and settled romantic relationships. He stated that he dislikes any form of restriction or control in a relationship, insisting that he thrives better in a more open and unrestricted environment.
Flavour further described himself as someone who belongs to what he called the “wild side” of life rather than a domesticated setting, adding that this personality makes it difficult for him to be tied to one partner. “I am an explorer. I belong to the wild world. I belong to the street. Some men are domesticated but I am not. We belong to the wild world. I cannot be caged,” he said.
Over the years, the singer has been linked to several women and has children with former beauty queens Sandra Okagbue and Anna Banner, though none of the relationships led to marriage.
In a related development, Flavour also responded to online criticism accusing him of neglecting upcoming Igbo artists. The controversy began after a social media user, identified as Charles, alleged that the singer focuses mainly on his personal career while failing to support emerging talents from the South-East. Flavour, however, addressed the claims, pushing back against the narrative circulating online.
