In a dramatic escalation of tensions, Israel’s Armed Forces have successfully intercepted over 99% of the more than 300 projectiles launched by Iran, according to Israel Armed Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari. Hagari revealed that among the incoming projectiles were approximately 30 cruise missiles and over 120 ballistic missiles. Despite the severity of the assault, none of the cruise missiles breached Israeli defenses, and only a few of the ballistic missiles managed to penetrate Israeli territory.

Although some missiles struck the Nevatim airbase, resulting in minor infrastructure damage, the base remains fully operational. Complicating matters further, Hagari noted that Iraq and Yemen also participated in the assault, although their projectiles did not reach Israeli soil.

Additionally, Lebanon fired “dozens” of rockets toward northern Israel, prompting retaliatory strikes from Israel targeting various locations in Lebanon. Despite the onslaught, Israel reported no casualties, although a 10-year-old girl sustained severe injuries from shrapnel.

Expressing the gravity of Iran’s actions, Hagari emphasized, “Iran did something very serious, very severe this night, as it pushed the Middle East toward escalation. We will do whatever is necessary in order to defend the citizens of the state of Israel.”
