Israeli Soldiers Wounded In Hezbollah Strike
On Tuesday, Israel’s military reported that a Lebanese Hezbollah-fired anti-tank missile injured nine soldiers during a rescue operation for a civilian wounded in a cross-border strike.
One soldier is in serious condition. The initial missile struck a Greek Orthodox church in the village of Iqrit, an abandoned Palestinian Christian village.
The Israeli army accused Iran-backed Hezbollah of continuous attacks on Israeli civilian and religious sites.

The hilltop church is situated in Iqrit, a village whose Palestinian Christian residents were displaced during the 1948 war and the establishment of Israel. The ongoing attacks prompted the military to condemn Hezbollah for its actions.
The Lebanon-Israel border has witnessed increased hostilities between the Israeli army and Hezbollah since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7, heightening concerns of a broader conflict. Hezbollah claims to be acting in support of Hamas. The exchange has resulted in casualties on both sides, with over 150 people killed in Lebanon and civilians wounded in Israeli towns.
On November 20, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported that “Israeli artillery shelling” had targeted the Saint George Church in the border village of Yarun, causing “major damage.” On Tuesday, Israeli bombardment wounded two people in the town of Tulin, approximately 10 kilometers (six miles) from the border, according to the National News Agency.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a series of attacks against Israeli troops and positions, including firing missiles at an Israeli barracks. On the Israeli side, at least four civilians and nine soldiers have been killed since October 7, according to figures provided by the army. The ninth soldier died from wounds suffered earlier, the military reported on Tuesday.
