JUST IN: Abdullahi Is Dead, Ganduje Reacts

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), offered his condolences to the family of Abdullahi Yakubu, the Kano State correspondent of LEADERSHIP Newspaper, who passed away at the age of 55 following a brief illness.

Ganduje expressed his sympathy to both the management of LEADERSHIP Newspaper and Yakubu’s family for their loss.

In a statement issued by his chief of staff, Malam Muhammad Garba, Ganduje expressed his sorrow and referred to Yakubu as a seasoned journalist whose demise is a significant setback for Kano State and the broader northern region of Nigeria. He conveyed the depth of his feelings upon learning about the passing of the diligent journalist, highlighting Yakubu’s substantial contributions to the advancement of the state.

Ganduje extended his prayers for the bereaved family, asking for the strength to endure this irreparable loss. The final rites for the late journalist were conducted on the same day. Yakubu is survived by a wife and children.
