JUST IN: Akeredolu’s Aides Resign

Richard Olatunde, the former Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has officially resigned from his position.

Additionally, Dare Aragbaye, the Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties, submitted his resignation letter on Wednesday.

In their letters addressed to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, both aides cited Akeredolu’s demise as the motivating factor behind their decisions.

Olatunde, in his resignation letter titled ‘Resignation Letter,’ expressed, “My decision to resign from office is hinged on the unfortunate and untimely death of our leader, principal, and father figure, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON.”

He acknowledged Akeredolu’s exceptional qualities, leadership, and dedication to the state’s development, which inspired his own commitment to serving and contributing to the progress of the beloved state.

Aragbaye, in his resignation letter, stated, “My decision to resign is based on the unfortunate death of my principal, a fearless and honest leader, Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, whom I am loyal to even in death.” He expressed gratitude to Akeredolu for the opportunity to serve in his administration as a member of the State Executive Council.
