JUST IN: Tension As Okada Riders ‘Kill’ Policeman In Lagos
Unrest has erupted along the Apapa-Oshodi expressway following the alleged murder of a police officer by some commercial motorcyclists known as okada riders.
At least three police guns are said to have been stolen.
According to the Daily Trust, the incident occurred near Cele Bus Stop and has caused panic in the area.

According to the Daily Trust, the lifeless body of a police officer was discovered by the roadside, and no less than five patrol vehicles filled with fully armed police officers were pursuing the okada riders towards Second Rainbow/Mile 2 along the expressway.
As they fled from police, the riders were seen brandishing objects such as cutlasses, sticks, and iron rods.
The reason for the confrontation between the okada riders and the deceased cop was not immediately clear.
