The arrest was made following diligent work by the Commissioner of Police monitoring unit, acting on credible intelligence.
The suspect, identified as Adamu Shuaibu from Dumale village in Kagarko Local Government Area, was taken into custody on February 12th. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of an AK-47 rifle, a chilling reminder of the threat posed by armed criminal elements in the area.
Authorities believe that Shuaibu is affiliated with a bandit group responsible for terrorizing villages in the Jere town of Kagarko LGA. With his capture, law enforcement hopes to dismantle the network of criminal activity that has plagued the region for too long.
Following the successful operation, CP Audu Ali commended the efforts of the monitoring unit operatives and reiterated the commitment of the police force to rid Kaduna State of criminal elements. He urged residents to continue providing credible information to support ongoing efforts to protect lives and property in the region.
The arrest of Shuaibu and the recovery of firearms mark a significant victory for law enforcement in Kaduna, signaling a step forward in the fight against terrorism and criminality in the area.
