Despite frantic efforts by his loved ones to locate him, their search yielded no results. However, the grim discovery came to light when his lifeless body was found abandoned in a desolate bush on the outskirts of Kuhu village, via Furum ward in Bauchi Local Government Area, in the early hours of February 18.

The Bauchi State Police Command, through its spokesperson SP Ahmaed Mohammed Wakil, confirmed that Rehoboth Joseph Deshi was one of the victims allegedly killed by suspected cultists. The suspects, identified as Hoomvez Martins Nyelong, Daniel Audu Adamu, and Maigari Inuwa, were apprehended after authorities observed them wandering the area under suspicious circumstances.
