Miyetti Allah President Claims Nasarawa Governor Ordered Establishment Of Militia Group
Bello Bodejo, the President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has made startling allegations, asserting that Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, instructed him to create the ethnic militia group, Kungiya Zaman Lafiya. According to Bodejo, the governor exerted pressure on him to form the said militia group……READ ALSO DSS Clarifies: No Arrest Made On Miyetti Allah President, Addresses Rumors
Bodejo’s claims come in the wake of his arrest by operatives of the Defence Intelligence Agency on January 23, 2024, at the Miyetti Allah office in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. He stands accused of unveiling the Kungiya Zaman Lafiya ethnic militia in Nasarawa State without proper authorization.
Following his arrest, Bodejo was arraigned before Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja on March 22, 2024, facing charges of terrorism.
In his confessional statement, Bodejo alleges that Governor Sule personally initiated the formation of the militia group. He asserts that the governor contacted him earlier in the year, expressing a desire to establish a vigilante group distinct from those in other states.
Bodejo claims that Governor Sule intended to recruit individuals who had participated in political rallies before the election and planned to integrate them with the Army to function as vigilantes. Despite his reservations and negative feedback about the group led by Akajo, Bodejo says the governor insisted on his collaboration with them.
These allegations shed light on complex political dynamics and raise questions about the involvement of state authorities in the creation of militia groups, warranting further investigation and scrutiny.
