Multiple Dangote Cement Workers Allegedly Kidnapped In Edo

According to information gathered by Ireporteronline, the workers were allegedly taken on Monday after the close of work. They were said to be traveling back to Okpella community in a Coaster bus when they were forcibly abducted at gunpoint.

A source within the community, speaking to reporters, claimed that the gunmen, who had laid an ambush, emerged from the bush and halted the bus at gunpoint before taking the victims into the bush.

The source stated, “Yes, they were in a Coaster bus heading to Okpella when they were kidnapped by gunmen. But we don’t know the exact number of workers that have been abducted.”

As of press time, the Edo State Police Command authorities could not confirm the incident. Calls and text messages to the State Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, and the Public Relations Officer of the command, Chidi Nwabuzor, remained unanswered.
