Musiala Breaks Silence After Second Collapse, Reveals Medical Diagnosis

Bayern Munich and Germany winger Jamal Musiala has revealed that he has been diagnosed with temporary and treatable absence seizures following his second collapse during a pre-season friendly.

According to IReporter Online, the 23-year-old suffered the latest episode on Tuesday night during Bayern Munich’s 4-2 victory over FC Heidenheim.

Musiala had only been on the pitch for about eight minutes after coming on as a substitute when he suddenly collapsed, prompting an immediate response from players and members of the medical team.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane reportedly instructed teammates and players from Heidenheim to form a protective circle around Musiala while medical personnel attended to him.

The winger eventually regained his composure and was helped from the pitch by a Bayern medical staff member.

The incident occurred just three days after Musiala experienced a similar episode during Bayern’s pre-season encounter with RB Leipzig.

During that match, Musiala had scored to put Bayern ahead before appearing disoriented and struggling to remain on his feet. Teammate Ismael Saibari intervened and caught him before he fell, after which medical personnel assessed him and escorted him from the pitch.

The Germany international disclosed that medical examinations had identified a neurological dysfunction responsible for the episodes, describing the absence seizures as brief and treatable.

Musiala said he was doing well and expressed appreciation for the messages and support he had received from fans and well-wishers.

He also explained that the diagnosis was not expected to pose a long-term health risk, while attributing the recent incidents to the neurological condition identified by doctors.
