NEF Distances Itself From ‘Regret Voting For Tinubu’ Comment

The statement emphasized that the reported remarks about regretting Tinubu’s presidency did not originate from the NEF but were the personal opinion of an individual. NEF asserted that it has not assessed Tinubu’s performance and has refrained from engaging in political discussions about future elections.

Furthermore, the NEF condemned recent attacks on northerners in southern Nigeria, particularly in the South East. They called on President Tinubu and relevant security agencies to address these incidents promptly to prevent further escalation and preserve national unity.

The forum highlighted a disturbing video circulating on social media showing the killing of hundreds of cattle belonging to northerners by suspected militias of the Eastern Security Network (ESN). NEF denounced such acts as sabotage against national unity efforts and urged all Nigerians to strive for unity, peace, and harmony across the country.
