Portable was arrested for failing to pay the balance of a G-Wagon car he purchased from a vehicle dealer, according to a report by Ireporteronline.

The singer had reportedly purchased the vehicle worth N27 million, paid only N13 million, and refused to pay the N14 million balance despite the car dealer’s efforts to get him to pay.

According to Punch, whenever the car dealer contacted him to pay the balance, he usually claimed that the vehicle was defective.

Frustrated by the singer’s refusal to pay the balance, the car dealer reported the matter to the police. Policemen, who were detailed to investigate the case, subsequently arrested Portable.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of Portable when contacted.

In the video circulating online, Portable and the police were seen in front of a gate before engaging in a drama to evade arrest. During the arrest, the singer attempted to jump over a gate, but the police chased after him and eventually caught him.
