According to Vanguard, the victim, identified as Prince, a member of OSPAC, was ambushed and killed while responding to a distress call about the incident of kidnapping going on in the area.
Prince and other members of the vigilante were ambushed as they were advancing to the reported scene of the kidnap.
The kidnappers reportedly opened fire on the vigilante members and gunned down the deceased.
The development was reported to have thrown the community into panic as residents scampered for safety while the corpse of the deceased has been evacuated and taken to the undisclosed mortuary.
