A presidential aspirant of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has described the statement attributed to one of late MKO Abiola’s daughters, Hasfat Abiola, who claimed that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is a carbon copy of her late father, the acclaimed winner of the 1993 presidential elections.
Hasfat Abiola was countered by Prince Adewole Adebayo in a tweet on Tuesday.
The tweet reads: “For I personally know MKO Abiola, let me remind my peers: MKO was Africa’s Pillar of Sports, Mandela’s Hero, Castro’s Friend, Global Black Icon, President of Presidents, Midas of Money, Accountancy Genius, Borderless Tycoon, SDP Candidate, Martyr of Democracy!” he tweeted. “How do you compare yourself to a clown?”
Despite the fact that Bello’s name was not mentioned in the tweet, it is reasonable to believe that Adebayo’s post is a subtle way of correcting the record, given what Abiola represented.
Hafsat Abiola, who was recently appointed Director-General of the Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Organization, said she is directing the campaign for Governor Bello because she believes he possesses the skills necessary to lead Nigeria to its desired goal.
