No Godfather Involved In Eguavoen’s Super Eagles Appointment – Amaju Pinnick

The former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has said no godfather influenced the appointment of Augustine Eguavoen as the interim head coach of the Super Eagles.
Amaju Pinnick emphasized that Eguavoen’s appointment was based on merit and the exigencies of the situation.

Recall that Eguavoen stepped in as the interim coach of the Super Eagles after the NFF was unable to finalize an agreement with German coach Bruno Labbadia.

Amaju Pinnick clarified that Eguavoen, in his capacity as the technical director of the Nigerian Federation, assumed the interim coaching role due to the prevailing circumstances, highlighting that this arrangement is not uncommon in the global football community.
