Obaseki Issues Fresh Order (Details)

Godwin Obaseki, Governor, Edo State and visitor to Edo State University Uzairue has instruct­ed the contractors handling the construction of the University Teaching Hospital to resume work immediately.

The governor who gave the order during the 3rd Convocation ceremony of the University also assured the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor that the staff housing unit for the institution would be com­pleted before the end of this year.

While congratulating the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and staff of the Institution for the tremendous successes the school has recorded since its inception, the governor said, “looking back now, the government did not re­gret her choice in choosing the team of the governing council, that included, Dr. Adeyemi Makanjuola, as the Chancellor and Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor as the Vice-Chancellor of the Uni­versity.”

A total of 142 undergraduate and postgraduate students found worthy in character and learning were awarded the University’s degrees in various disciplines com­prise Nine First Class, 60 Second Class Upper and 61 Second Class Lower.
