Over 200 Residents Receive Eyeglasses As BBF Holds Medical Outreach

According to Ireporter Online, Bakare Bridge Foundation (BBF) recently organized a medical outreach in Ibadan aimed at expanding access to healthcare for residents. During the program, participants received medications, and over 200 pairs of eyeglasses were distributed to individuals with vision problems.

Bakare Nurudeen, founder of BBF and convener of the outreach, emphasized that the initiative highlighted the need for broader access to public health services. He encouraged citizens to utilize not only the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan but also local health centers and general hospitals for medical consultations.

Dr. Ronke Lawal, a consultant at UCH, led the medical team, providing services such as blood pressure monitoring, glucose testing, and eye and visual acuity assessments.

Mrs. Favour Akinwale, Chief Nursing Officer at UCH, advised the community on maintaining good health through proper nutrition and adequate rest. She also warned against the indiscriminate use of medications and stressed the importance of consulting healthcare professionals whenever health issues arise.

Bakare Nurudeen assured that the foundation would continue organizing medical outreaches to improve the well-being of Nigerians.
