Peter Obi Won’t Save You In 2027! Labour Party Lawmakers Face Harsh Reality – Onuoha

Chidi Moses Onuoha, a prominent figure in the Labour Party (LP) from Abia State, has expressed dissatisfaction with the underperformance of the party’s lawmakers both at the federal and state levels. Onuoha lamented that many of these lawmakers, who were elected due to the popularity of Peter Obi, the LP’s 2023 presidential candidate, have failed to provide effective governance.

While commending Abia State Governor Alex Otti for his impressive performance, Onuoha criticized lawmakers for their lack of action. Speaking in an interview with the Daily Post on Monday, he warned that the political landscape in 2027 would be different.

“Any lawmaker counting on the influence of Governor Alex Otti or Peter Obi to secure re-election in 2027 will face a harsh reality. We will employ a strategy on how to vote and how not to vote,” Onuoha cautioned.

He further stressed, “You cannot ride on the back of our party’s structure to win an election, neglect the people, and expect to return to office. Those hoping to benefit from Governor Otti’s popularity will be disappointed unless they genuinely serve their constituents.”

Onuoha emphasized that while Peter Obi and Governor Otti remain popular due to their performance, lawmakers must work hard to bring impactful projects to their communities if they hope to secure re-election.
