Police Apprehend Seven Suspected Cultists And Seize Firearms In Kaduna

According to ASP Mansir Hassan, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the arrests mark a substantial blow to criminal networks operating within the state, demonstrating the Command’s ongoing commitment to ensuring justice and safety for all citizens.

The operation, conducted on April 6, 2024, was initiated based on intelligence gathered from a reliable source, indicating suspicious activities in the rocky and mountainous region of Dumbi along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

Acting swiftly on the received information, police operatives conducted a raid at about 03:00 hours, resulting in the arrest of seven suspects. However, some suspects managed to escape the scene.

Among the items seized during the operation were two pistols, a 30-liter jerrycan containing a liquid suspected to be blood, and a Lexus car.

The Commissioner of Police, Ali Audu, commended the cooperation and vigilance of the community, which provided crucial information leading to the successful operation.

The Command reiterated its commitment to eradicating criminal elements and ensuring the safety and security of residents in the state. Efforts are underway to apprehend the fleeing suspects, and the Command urges anyone with relevant information to assist in bringing them to justice.
