Stephen expressed frustration at the deteriorating security situation in certain areas of Lagos, including Oshodi, Agege, Lagos Island, and others, where individuals can no longer use their phones openly without fear of theft or harassment. She called on security agencies and the government to address this menace swiftly, particularly in the country’s economic hub.

In response to the viral video, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, assured the public that both the Lagos State Government and the state Police Command would investigate the issue. Adejobi emphasized the need for the police to gain a clear understanding of the situation in the mentioned areas.

“This will be looked into. I have contacted the Lagos State Police Command and the government. We need to actually know what’s happening in that area,” Adejobi stated.

The statement from the Police Force underscores the importance of addressing rising crime rates promptly and effectively to ensure the safety and security of residents in Lagos State.
