Adejobi, hailing from the lineage of Oba Moses Adejobi, the late Olowu of Orile-Owu in Osun State, expressed his belief that accepting bribes not only brings sorrow to others but is also deemed ungodly. Through his X handle #Princemoye1, he reinforced his commitment to uplifting people’s spirits, emphasizing the divine and fulfilling nature of such actions.

This principled stand follows recent developments within the police force, including the dismissal of Inspector Adabo Mohammed for alleged involvement in criminal activities. Adejobi’s statement echoes the resolve of Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, to maintain professional standards and eradicate indiscipline within the force.

A clear indication of this commitment came with the dismissal of two special constabularies in December 2023 for attempting to extort a Dutch tourist. These actions underscore the police force’s dedication to upholding integrity and restoring public trust, as emphasized by Adejobi and reiterated by the Inspector-General.
