Rivers Crisis: I’m Not Distracted From My Job – Wike

Former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has stated that he remains focused on his role as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and is not distracted by the political situation in his home state…..read also Wike’s Wife Elevated To Appeal Court, CJN’s Daughter-In-Law To FCT High Court
Wike made this known on Friday during the final inspection of ongoing projects scheduled for commissioning in the FCT. “I am not distracted. If I am distracted, you won’t see this performance here. I am focused on my work, so I’m not distracted. I’m Minister of the FCT and work is going on. I don’t even think about it at all.”
The tension between Wike and his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has been generating concerns among well-meaning Nigerians. Many of the Commissioners in Fubara’s administration, who were appointed during Wike’s tenure, resigned their positions during the week.
