Rivers Police Arrest 13 Officers, Gives Strong Reason
The Rivers State Police Command has reported the arrest of 13 of its officers for indecent dressing in various areas of Port Harcourt.

Disu explained that the officers were apprehended by the command monitoring unit during a routine patrol in different parts of the city and are currently in detention.
“This is part of an ongoing effort to stop indecent dressing by officers of the command.
“And the head of the divisions where these arrested officers are serving will be vicariously liable for the personnel’s conduct.”
He assured that the death of SP Angnashin would not be swept under the carpet.
Recall that SP Angbashin was captured and decapitated by a suspected Iceland cult gang led by one Gift Okpara, aka 2Baba in Odiemude community in Ahoada East LGA in September.
The state police boss said he is overwhelmed by the concern shown by members of the public about the murder of the DPO.
He disclosed that he was in talks with stakeholders in Ahoada and also getting advice from them in a bid to arrest the prime suspect, Gift Okpara.
On his objective for the command, CP Disu said his objective is to have police officers who are effective and friendly.
The CP added, “As police, we cannot succeed without cooperation and partnership from members of the public.
“I have started fostering a partnership between the police and members of the public.
“I had a meeting twice with the traffic section of the police to remind them that they must be civil in their dealings with members of the public.
“I want to work with members of the public so they can trust us and give us information.”
