Seun Kuti Slams Toxic Masculinity Over Burna Boy & DJ Tunez Feud
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has spoken out on the ongoing rift between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez, criticizing what he described as a pervasive culture of toxic masculinity among African men.
In a recent livestream, Kuti condemned the tendency of some men to use violence and intimidation to assert power and dominance. He emphasized that such behavior does not solve conflicts, calling it “foolish” and counterproductive.
Kuti highlighted the need for alternative methods of conflict resolution, stressing that a lack of mutual respect among Africans contributes to the normalization of violence. He urged a shift away from what he referred to as “low vibration” behavior, insisting that true strength lies in respect and dialogue rather than aggression.
