She Refused To Move! – Adaramodu Reveals Explosive Details Of Natasha’s Senate Uproar

Senator Yemi Adaramodu of Ekiti South has provided fresh insight into the dramatic confrontation in the Senate involving Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central on February 20, 2025.

The situation intensified further when she submitted a petition accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, abuse of office, and obstruction of her legislative duties.

Akpabio strongly denied the allegations, stating, “I do not harass women.” The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions dismissed the sexual harassment claim as “dead on arrival.”

Speaking on Channels Television, Adaramodu defended the Senate’s stance, emphasizing that established procedural rules require senators to be properly seated before participating in discussions. He described Akpoti-Uduaghan’s refusal to move as disruptive, noting that her actions contributed to the session’s heated nature.

“She was aware of the seat reassignment but chose to resist. Her refusal to move prevented another senator from sitting, creating unnecessary disorder,” Adaramodu explained.

Despite calls for disciplinary measures, other senators intervened to de-escalate the situation. While emphasizing the importance of maintaining Senate protocol, Adaramodu insisted that lawmakers must adhere to standing rules, ensuring decorum is upheld during proceedings.
