In a statement posted on its official X handle on Friday, NAFDAC revealed that the warehouse was illegally revalidating these expired chemicals by assigning new shelf lives, preparing them for distribution. The agency also found various unregistered products, including Kris Herbicide, E-Tong Reapon 800WG, Onion Texas, Tomato Chiloli, and Hot Pepper.

NAFDAC operatives have seized the expired and unregistered items, and the facility has been secured. The owner of the company is currently at large, and efforts are underway to apprehend him. NAFDAC has urged consumers to be vigilant and report any suspicious products or activities to their nearest office to help protect public health and safety.
