Showmax Users Get Up To 1-Month Free Access On DStv Stream Compact

According to Ireporter Online, MultiChoice, a CANAL+ company, has announced a limited-time offer for eligible Showmax subscribers in Nigeria, following the discontinuation of the Showmax service on April 30, 2026. The initiative is part of a broader transition towards a unified streaming experience on DStv Stream.

The company stated that qualifying Showmax customers will be granted trial access to DStv Stream Compact for a specified period. After the trial phase, subscribers who meet the eligibility requirements may continue enjoying the service on DStv Stream Compact at a discounted rate for 12 months, provided their subscription remains active and payments are kept up to date.

The statement further explained that the offer is designed to deliver a richer entertainment experience, giving users access to live television channels, international movies and series, children’s programming, and live sporting events through SuperSport, all accessible on mobile devices and smart TVs.

It was also noted that eligible customers will receive direct communication via the email addresses linked to their Showmax accounts, detailing how to activate the offer. The trial access is expected to run until the end of May 2026. However, the promotion does not apply to existing DStv subscribers who already bundle Showmax with their current packages, as well as those whose Showmax subscription is billed through their DStv account.
