Among the appointees are Adebayo Ojeyinka, an indigene of Osun State, and Joachin Achor from Abia State, alongside 16 others from Anambra State.

This announcement was made via a press statement released by the governor’s press secretary, Christian Aburime, on Friday, March 8. Aburime emphasized that the selection process was conducted meticulously and transparently, involving a computer-based examination, a thorough search process, and personal interactions with the governor.

The statement underscored the significance of these appointments, highlighting the governor’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and breaking down traditional barriers. Notably, the inclusion of non-indigenes and individuals from other states signifies a departure from the norm, reflecting a broader vision of leveraging talent from across the nation.

The appointment of Ojeyinka from Osun State is particularly noteworthy, challenging the conventional practice of restricting top civil service positions to indigenous candidates. This move reaffirms Anambra’s commitment to embracing diversity and fostering an environment of equal opportunity for all.
