According to Ireporter Online, fresh details have surfaced regarding the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to replace Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as Chairman of the party’s National Convention Central Coordination Committee with former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari.

The reshuffle, which was announced on Friday, was influenced by zoning considerations and the need to accord due recognition to senior party leaders. Party insiders explained that the adjustment was part of efforts to maintain internal balance and inclusivity ahead of the national convention.

Governor Uzodimma, who had initially been named chairman of the 73-member committee, was reassigned as treasurer, a move party sources insist should not be interpreted as punitive.
