The Slots Tinubu Offered To LP, PDP Governors
During a meeting of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) in Abuja, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq revealed that President Bola Tinubu has reserved some appointments in the governing boards of agencies, parastatals, institutions, and government-owned companies for members of the opposition Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party.
The President requested the governors to nominate qualified individuals to serve on the boards and parastatals of Federal Government agencies that were dissolved the previous month.

The dissolution of the boards created approximately 2,000 vacant positions, which are expected to be filled by new nominees.
The agencies with vacancies include the North-East Development Commission, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, National Universities Commission, Transmission Commission of Nigeria, National Health Insurance Authority, Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Nigerian Police Trust Fund, Nigerian Natural Medicine Development Agency, Federal Institute of Industrial Research, and National Centre for Technology Management, among others.
The NGF commended President Tinubu for extending the opportunity to governors from different political parties to nominate competent individuals for these appointments.
