Through an official statement on her X handle, Aniete confirmed the initiation of the disbursement process, following an exhaustive selection procedure. Beneficiaries have begun receiving their grants, marking the commencement of the phased disbursement strategy.
Aniete further disclosed that by Friday, April 19, another substantial disbursement will be made to a significant number of verified applicants. She clarified that disbursements are ongoing, and while not all applicants will receive their grants immediately, all verified applicants will eventually receive their grants in subsequent phases.
This initiative, first announced by President Tinubu in 2023, aims to support manufacturers and small business owners, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to strengthen the manufacturing sector, expand its capacity, and generate employment opportunities.
Following the announcement last year, applicants were required to submit their National Identification Numbers (NIN) as part of the application process, indicating the government’s intention to provide relief to businesses impacted by recent economic reforms.
As the disbursement progresses, it is anticipated that the grants will provide much-needed support to businesses across the country, contributing to economic growth and stability.
