As relayed by the State House media office on Saturday morning, the departure announcement bore the message, “President Bola Tinubu departs to attend NDA Anniversary in Kaduna”.

Celebrating its diamond jubilee, the NDA unveiled an emblem and crest on February 5, commemorating six decades since its establishment.

The jubilant celebrations commenced days earlier at the NDA Auditorium, Afaka, drawing in a distinguished array of attendees, including NDA alumni, former Commandants, serving and retired military officers, operatives from various security and paramilitary organizations, and representatives from diverse institutions. Major General Rabiu Aliyu (retd.), a member of the pioneer Regular Course 1 of 1964, graced the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour.

President Tinubu’s presence is eagerly awaited at the grand event, with expectations of his swift return to Abuja on the same day. Following this engagement, he is poised to jet off to Abidjan, the capital of Côte d’Ivoire, to witness the showdown between Nigeria and the host country in the AFCON final.
