Tinubu – My Govt Will Consider National Living Wage Over Minimum Wage

Addressing the workers, Vice President Shettima conveyed Tinubu’s gratitude for their understanding, patience, commitment, and support in implementing government policies and programs aimed at transforming the nation positively. Tinubu affirmed the government’s commitment to addressing workers’ concerns, indicating readiness to consider a national living wage proposed by the 37-member Tripartite Committee on Minimum Wage. He assured workers that their days of uncertainty were numbered, expressing openness to the committee’s suggestion for a living wage that addresses their living conditions comprehensively.
Highlighting the nation’s challenges, Tinubu underscored the government’s resolve to confront security threats such as banditry, kidnapping, farmer-herder clashes, and terrorism. He reassured Nigerians of the government’s unwavering commitment to addressing these challenges and fostering peace and unity for national development.
