President Bola Tinubu has recorded a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Ebonyi State, securing all 207,579 valid votes cast across the state.

According to Ireporter Online, the exercise, which was conducted across 171 wards in the state’s 13 local government areas, saw Tinubu emerge as the sole beneficiary of the votes, while his rival, Stanley Osifo, failed to secure a single vote.

Announcing the result in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, who served as the State Collation Officer, disclosed that the APC had a total membership strength of 215,490 in the state, out of which 207,579 members were accredited and participated in the exercise.

The collation breakdown showed that Tinubu polled 15,673 votes in Abakaliki, 10,718 in Afikpo North, 10,713 in Ohaozara, 16,413 in Ebonyi, 11,694 in Edda, 11,928 in Ohaukwu, 19,088 in Ezza South, and 19,341 in Ikwo. He also secured 17,501 votes in Izzi, 8,406 in Ivo, 19,160 in Ishielu, 25,453 in Ezza North, 18,300 in Afikpo South, and 13,896 in Onicha Local Government Area.

Governor Nwifuru described the process as a true reflection of the votes cast across the state and commended party members for what he called a peaceful, transparent, and orderly exercise.

Meanwhile, Minister of Works, David Umahi, who addressed party members during the primary at his Umunaga Ward in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area, declared that Ebonyi State remains firmly aligned with the APC and the Tinubu administration.

Umahi stated that the state had no opposition presence in Ohaozara, adding that the turnout demonstrated strong confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and reform agenda.

He further expressed optimism that the President would effectively address Nigeria’s security challenges if re-elected in 2027, noting that the South-East had been better integrated into national governance through appointments and infrastructure development under the current administration.
