It was gathered that the party did not take any action regarding the matter until letters were sent from the APC in the wards of the two lawmakers to the state chairman of the party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.
Adetimehin subsequently sent a letter to the State House of Assembly.
The Speaker, Rt. Honourable David Bamidele Oleyelogun read the letter through the Clerk of the House, Mr Taye Benjamin and thereby declared the seats of the lawmakers vacant.
The Speaker also ordered that a letter be forwarded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), asking it to conduct fresh elections to fill the vacant seats.
