Vehicle Falls From Otedola Bridge; Driver Rescued

A private vehicle plunged off the Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the early hours of Monday, sparking concern among commuters and bystanders.

“An accident involving a vehicle that fell from Otedola Bridge has occurred. The driver has been rescued and taken to the local hospital,” LASTMA reported.

The authority also noted that there was a traffic backlog stretching from Otedola Bridge to Berger, but assured that officers were present on-site managing the situation efficiently. “Additional officers are also on the ground attending to necessary operations,” they added.

This incident took place near the location of a previous gas truck explosion that resulted in the deaths of at least six individuals just weeks ago.
