Violence Strikes In Ekiti As Two Men Charged With Attempted Murder

facing charges of conspiracy, threatening violence with offensive weapons, and attempting to murder Hon. Talabi Odunayo Arinka.

According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, the crime took place on December 22, 2024, at approximately 8:30 pm within the Ado-Ekiti Magisterial District. The prosecution highlighted that there is sufficient evidence to remand the defendants in correctional custody as the charges breach various sections of the Ekiti State Criminal Law, including sections 421, 46, and 241 (a) & (b).

Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun granted the accused bail in the sum of N250,000 each, with one surety in a similar amount. The case has been adjourned to February 14, 2025, for further hearing.
