As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over the landscape, darkness descended like a shroud, concealing the impending danger that lurked in the shadows. Unbeknownst to the residents, a group of bandits, driven by greed and malice, had descended upon their community, intent on wreaking havoc and terror.

The tranquility of the night was shattered by the sound of gunfire and screams of anguish, as the bandits unleashed their fury upon the unsuspecting villagers. In the chaos that ensued, lives were lost, and families torn apart by the cruelty of fate.

Among the victims was Danmasani Gwaska, a respected member of the community, known for his kindness and generosity. His life was cut short by the senseless violence that engulfed the town, leaving behind a void that could never be filled.

Mrs. Giwa John, Kapishi Barmu, Ganya Ubangida, Shigama Salisu, and Gani Magawata were also among those who fell victim to the brutality of the bandits, their lives extinguished in the blink of an eye.

But amidst the devastation, the bandits sought a prize of even greater value – Mr. Zakariya Markus, a former director of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and his family. In a brazen display of audacity, the bandits abducted Markus, his brother, Monday Markus, and Monday’s wife, plunging their loved ones into a nightmare of uncertainty and fear.

As dawn broke over the horizon, casting its gentle light upon the ravaged town, the full extent of the tragedy became apparent. Six lives had been lost, and a former CBN director had been cruelly torn from his home, leaving behind a community gripped by grief and despair.

In the aftermath of the violence, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State arrived to offer his condolences to the grieving families, his words a balm to their wounded hearts.
