‘We Are Not Missing You’ – Ondo PDP Responds To Defectors Joining APC
The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has downplayed the significance of several chieftains who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement, the PDP emphasized that it remains confident in its prospects for the upcoming governorship election despite the defections.
Prominent figures who left the party include former federal legislators and the ex-speaker of the state House of Assembly. However, the PDP argued that these individuals had long been disconnected from party affairs and that their exit would not affect the party’s strength.
The PDP campaign spokesperson, Ayo Fadaka, stated that the party remains focused on victory and has gained notable support from key APC members in the state.
