We Are Under Pressure To Compromise 2023 Polls – CDS Irabor

General Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has stated that security agencies are constantly under pressure to compromise elections in the country.

He spoke at the 61st Ministerial Media Briefing organized by the Presidential Communications Team on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Irabor, on the other hand, urged Nigerians to have implicit trust in Nigerian military officers and men who are completely committed to remaining neutral and apolitical.

The CDS stated that necessary measures were being put in place to ensure that security personnel obeyed President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent directive to maintain neutrality.

According to him, personnel are being trained to be more professional, and rules of engagement before, during, and after the elections have been codified and distributed to them.
