Identifying poverty and unemployment as contributing factors to the current insecurity in various regions, the Vice President underscored the importance of enhancing governance in the country.
“For every Asokoro, there is a Karu. For every Maitama, there is a Dutse Alhaji. We need to create jobs. We need to improve governance in the country,” Shettima said.
Advocating for national unity, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima expressed the determination of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to foster development in the country, urging support from Nigerians.
During the same event, the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) announced plans to unveil weapons manufactured by its personnel, including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
He emphasized the agency’s commitment to self-sufficiency and reiterated support for the National Institute for Security Studies in enhancing security knowledge.
Commencing in February 2023, the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 16 involved 89 participants from 35 agencies in Nigeria and four other African countries—Niger, The Gambia, Rwanda, and Chad.
