Why I Wore Sneakers To NBA Conference – Shettima Opens Up (VIDEO)

The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima has revealed the reason he wore sneakers as part of his outfit to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference.

IReporteronline reports that the NBA held its 62nd annual general conference In Lagos.

In attendance was the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi; presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar amongst others.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu and the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso were missing despite being invited but the APC candidate sent his running mate, Kashim Shettima to represent him at the NBA conference.

Shettima became a trending topic on social media after he wore a pair of sneakers with a suit to the event.

Many criticised his choice of dressing to the conference with memes and even a #Shettimachallenge contest was started online to make a mockery of his dressing.

Shettima has now finally come out to give a reason for dressing the way he did to the 62nd Annual General Conference of the Nigeria Bar Association.

According to him, his choice of dressing was deliberate.

I was in Lagos for the NBA conference.

NBA conference was held in Eko hotel. it was largely funded by the Lagos state government, the APC government of Lagos State.

Subsequently, they moved to Eko Atlantic City, A product of the idea conceived by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

When I sent my team, one of the presidential candidates funded his agents, they held meetings for 3 consecutive nights to cause mischief.

When i was told that its a hostile crowd, i am a banker, i was trained by one of the best bankers in the world, i am a Jim Ovia boy. I deliberately wore sneakers.
