The debate over who holds the title of the biggest actor in Africa arose during the first episode of the Prime Video original reality show, ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa,’ where Egbuson and Michael engaged in a heated discussion.

In a recent interview with Cool FM Lagos, alongside host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Egbuson reiterated his stance, emphasizing his superiority over Michael in terms of movie quality, box office performance, and recognition among industry insiders.

Responding to a question from the host, Egbuson clarified that his assertion was not directed solely at Zubby Michael but was a broader statement about his own standing in the industry.

He stated, “If you watched the show, what you will first realize is that I wasn’t talking about Zubby. I speak my sh*t every time and everywhere I go. I considered myself the biggest actor, it wasn’t about Zubby. It’s about being bigger than everybody else.”

Egbuson went on to break down the factors that contribute to his claim of superiority, including the quality and range of movies he has starred in, his box office record, popularity among industry peers, and consistent performance over time.

He concluded by asserting that when these factors are objectively assessed, there is no way Zubby Michael could rank higher than him in terms of overall impact and success in the acting profession.
