JUST IN: ‘Path To Destruction’ – Tinubu Raises Strong Alarm Concerning Nigeria’s External Debt Servicing (DETAILS)
President Bola Tinubu emphasized that the nation’s current approach of servicing debt with nearly 90 percent of its revenue is unsustainable and would lead the country toward a path of destruction.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) annual conference in Abuja on Sunday, Tinubu expressed concern about the lack of widespread electricity in Nigeria and the prevalence of poverty.
He questioned whether the country could continue its pattern of servicing external debt with such a significant portion of its revenue, highlighting that this trajectory is detrimental.

He stressed the necessity of making tough decisions to avert this path of destruction.
Tinubu recognized that the reforms his administration is implementing might bring initial hardships, but he stressed their importance for the nation’s growth. He underlined that these reforms are crucial for building a prosperous country that future generations will benefit from.
Furthermore, Tinubu emphasized the need for Nigerians to shift their attitudes and mindsets to contribute to the nation’s progress. He urged everyone to focus on the present and future, working collectively to build a great country.
