NPFL Announces Revised Second Stanza Resumption Date

Originally set for February 14, 2024, the resumption date has been shifted to February 16, 2024, as confirmed by NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, in a communication addressed to all participating clubs.

Owumi emphasized that the adjustment aims to maintain fairness in sporting competition, ensuring that no club carries over fixtures from the first round.

In part, the notification stated, “This serves to formally inform all clubs that the new date for Matchday 20, previously slated for February 14, 2024, now falls on the weekend of Friday, February 16, 2024, through Sunday, February 18, 2024.”

In the meantime, Rivers United is scheduled to face Shooting Stars in a rescheduled Matchday 15 encounter in Ibadan on Saturday.

The fixture is set to take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, kicking off at 4 pm.
