CAF Confirms Referees For Nigeria vs Ivory Coast Clash In AFCON 2023

Referee Dahane Beida from Mauritania will take charge of Sunday’s highly anticipated encounter.

Assisting Beida on the field will be Jerson Emiliano Dos Santos from Angola as the first assistant referee, while Diana Chikotesha has been assigned as the second assistant referee.

Morocco’s Bouchra Karboubi will serve as the fourth official for the match.

The final, scheduled for Sunday, will commence at 9pm WAT at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.

Notably, in the 1988 final, Nigeria suffered a 1-0 defeat to Cameroon, with Mauritanian referee Idrissa Sarr controversially disallowing a Henry Nwosu header for offside.
